This hackathon is 12 hours, on a Sunday, in New York City.
There are three challenges each team much choose from:

Each challenge's submissions are judged individually, and one winner will be chosen for each challenge. Submissions are scored according to the evaluation criteria and deliverables described in each prompt.

Addressing bus bunching - Participants are expected to present their solutions in the form of prototypes, algorithms, simulations, or visualizations, accompanied by oral explanation of the underlying methodology, key insights, and potential impact on commuter experience.
Solving Polyominoes and Polycubes Puzzles - Participants are expected to present their solutions in the form of algorithms, implementations, visualizations, or interactive demos, accompanied by oral explanations of the problem formulations, solution methodologies, and computational insights. Additionally, participants may showcase their polyomino or polycube puzzles, games, or applications designed during the hackathon.
Individualized recommendation system - Participants are expected to present their solutions in the form of algorithms, implementations, visualizations, or interactive demos, accompanied by oral explanations of the problem formulations, solution methodologies, and computational insights. Participants are encouraged to leverage open-source libraries and frameworks to expedite development and focus on the core aspects of recommendation system design and implementation.
